Valerie Grace - upcoming MRI

Valerie Grace and I will be flying to Memphis from Orlando this Thursday, December 3rd. She will have an appointment Friday for some genetic screening. Monday, she will have a hearing test, vision test, and occupational therapy follow up. Tuesday, she will have blood work, oncology follow up and then the MRI after lunch time (they will also do an MRA to look at the blood vessels and arteries in her brain). Wednesday, she is scheduled to see endocrinology a few hours prior to our flight leaving around lunch time on December 9th (which should prove interesting, and hopefully not stressful).

Prayer Requests:

Safe travels
Shrinkage of the cysts
No areas of bleeding
Smaller tumor
Perfect hearing (I think the doctors are concerned because of her personal volume level :) but she seems to hear very well
Improved visual fields
Normal hormone levels (cortisol, thyroid, female hormones)
For the Lord to use our time in Memphis for His glory and for our growth.

As my Christmas gift, Craig's mom is renting us a car to use for our first appointment (that is not at St Judes) and so that we can visit Valerie's two great grandmothers, and visit our favorite buffet restaurant (the best all you can eat sushi and chinese food for around $5).

Valerie Grace is very prepared with stickers and other items to give to all of the people she meets (her idea) and she is very much looking forward to the hospital cafeteria. Last time, she managed to pull a great big smile from a very tall Amish man in the elevator. She (36 inches tall) walked right up to him, looked down and commented on how her shoes (shiny and covered in black glitter) matched his pants (also black, but not at all shiny) as she looked way up towards his face.

Thank you for your prayers.

Love,
Celeste

Praying for you, Celeste, as you travel with Valerie Grace. Praying that each appointment goes smoothly, that Valerie is (as always) a blessing to everyone she meets, that the Lord places people in your path who can bless you and be blessed by you, and that you return from this trip bouyed and uplifted by God's goodness, and not more weary from the journey.
